Founder’s Day Concert & Afternoon Tea, 12 August
Posted 12 August, 2011
Our first Founder’s Day Concert took place on our 91st Anniversary courtesy of our generous hosts, the Royal Marines Reserves, City of London. Following a welcome address by our Chief Executive, Colonel Piers Storie-Pugh, 138 veterans from conflicts across the years, together with their escorts, enjoyed a lovely afternoon with tea and entertainment. Mickie Driver organised the show and he, together with Linda Watts, Tommy Lees, David Carter and the warmly received Dennis Lotis, provided an afternoon of music and song everyone will long remember. After a delicious tea with slices of NFA birthday cake, our guests returned home full and happy.
