Mersey Boat Trip, 10 August

Our first ever static boat trip! Unfortunately, the vessel we had hired for the afternoon broke down on the opposite side of the river from where our 160 guests were patiently waiting in, it has to be said, not the best weather conditions!
However, nothing deterred the guests from making the most of the afternoon together and they literally were ‘ferried across the Mersey’. The regular ferry was commandeered to carry people across to the boat, drinks flowed throughout the following three hours and a lovely buffet lunch was enjoyed by all. The time to be ferried back across the Mersey came all too quickly, but not before a very successful raffle (thanks to ‘Greg’ for organising this for us).
