Canoeing Holiday in Scotland
Posted 25 September, 2011
The beautiful River Spey in North East Scotland provided the location for an adventurous four days of canoeing in mid September.
On our journey from the river’s source to its mouth on the North Sea, the group enjoyed first class tuition, comfortable accommodation and the relatively kind Scottish weather. There was a genuine sense of achievement and excitement, especially when we reached the rapids of Knockando and when Spey Bay finally came into view,
Along the way we encountered several friendly fishermen and the Association’s very own Chairman, Brigadier Richard Heywood, whose words of encouragement were much appreciated.
