Canoeing in The Dordogne

Posted 10 July, 2012

Last week’s canoeing expedition in the Dordogne proved to be one of the Association’s most successful and rewarding holidays ever.

Twelve lads, who had never before met as a group, took part and got along famously together. Of the group only two had previously been involved in our activity holidays. On the last evening one of the lads who had been seriously injured in Afghanistan said he had gained more from this one week than he had in ten weeks of rehab.

Our thanks go to Sean and the instructors from the Calvert Trust for their part in making this such a memorable trip.
