We are delighted to confirm the award of The Not Forgotten Association Certificate of Appreciation to Captain Desmond McCahon for his contribution to the Association in Northern Ireland.

Captain McCahon, who served in both the Territorial Army and the Ulster Defence Regiment, has been a proud and dedicated volunteer for the NFA for over 30 years. During this period he held the post of Treasurer for nearly 10 years, performing the role with selfless determination, enthusiasm and hard work.

Desmond has worked hard to forge close links with other ex-service and regimental associations, thereby helping to promote our work in Northern Ireland. He regularly represents the Association at events and visits former members who are too frail and infirm to attend.

Captain McCahon’s dedication and enthusiasm for the Association is an inspiration to his fellow members, to the ex-service and wider community in Northern Ireland.

Captain Desmond McCahon (l.) is congratulated by NFA Northern Ireland Chairman John Davies (r.)
