NFA Chief Executive Piers Storie-Pugh was delighted to be invited once again to one of Variety Collective’s fantastic concerts and to accept a very generous donation cheque from Mickie Driver. Mickie and his team of artistes continue to give great pleasure to their audiences and they in turn give very generously to Mickie’s chosen charities, one of which is The Not Forgotten Association.

This new 31-unit housing, training and support centre near Catterick Garrison provides specialist help to single homeless veterans of all ages from around the country.

Two hundred guests attended the official opening with Anne McGinley representing the NFA. Guests were given a tour of The Beacon and heard both from the residents themselves and about the support they are receiving from the unit.

The NFA has funded six televisions for the communal areas within the centre. There is also a large peaceful garden where the residents can relax which has been named The Not Forgotten Garden.
