The Christmas Party

We are hugely privileged to be permitted to hold our Christmas Party for War Pensioners in the State Apartments of St. James’s Palace.

Approximately 300 guests of all ages come from across the UK and include serving and ex-service personnel as well as representatives from the many service associations, organisations and ex-service care homes.

In the presence of a senior member of the Royal Family, our guests enjoy an unforgettable afternoon exchanging stories and experiences, making new friends and renewing long-standing acquaintances. Afternoon Tea is served as magicians, caricaturists and a host of celebrities entertain the guests.

In 2011 HRH The Earl Of Wessex delighted us all by speaking to guests on each table in the magnificent Throne, Entree and Queen Anne Rooms.

Following tea and the royal departure, we make our way into the Picture Gallery to enjoy a first class concert with fun, laughter and singing.

We are deeply grateful for the help and support we receive from the Comptroller of the Lord Chamberlain’s Office and his staff, the many artistes who give up their time to be with us, the military bands and the servicemen and women who assist us.
